Anchorman: The Legend of Ron BurgundyAnchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004)

IMDB rating: 6.90

Plot: Ron Burgundy (Ferrell) is the top-rated anchorman in San Diego in the ’70s. When feminism marches into the newsroom in the form of ambitious newswoman Veronica Corningstone (Applegate), Ron is willing to play along at first-as long as Veronica stays in her place, covering cat fashion shows, cooking, and other “female” interests. But when Veronica refuses to settle for being eye candy and steps behind the news desk, it’s more than a battle between two perfectly coiffed anchor-persons… it’s war.

Top 10 Comedic Performances of the current decade?
I’m talking about the years 2000-present.

These are the top 10 comedic performances not in order. Your answer to this question should be putting them in an order that you see fit. The list:

1. Mike Myers as Austin Powers (Austin Powers in Goldmember) [2003]

2. Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy) [2004]

3. Ben Stiller as Derek Zoolander (Zoolander) [2001]

4. Robert Downey Jr. as Kirk Lazarus (Tropic Thunder) [2008]

5. Jack Black as Dewey Finn (School of Rock) [2003]

6. Paul Rudd as Danny Donahue (Role Models) [2008]

7. Steve Carell as Andy (The 40-Year Old Virgin) [2005]

8. Seth Rogen and James Franco as Dale and Saul* (Pineapple Express) [2008]

9. Owen Wilson as Roy O’ Bannon (Shanghai Noon) [2000]

10. Vince Vaughn as Peter La Fleur (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story) [2004]

Yes I know these are all A-list comedians but they are the funniest men of this decade aren’t they? So wouldn’t it make sense that they would be in the top 10? Just clearing up any debate about variety or anything of that matter.

*- There wasn’t enough room in the top 10 to separate the two but I believe both roles are worthy so I put them together. Seth Rogen has other hilarious roles but none are top 10.

And on one final note, please don’t change the actors but feel free to suggest another role that they played that was funnier. Thanks.
Jonah Hill in Superbad was hilarious but not that original.

Mclovin was funny, but not hilarious. How could he be in top 10 over a span of 9 years?

Owen Wilson was a hard one to choose and I was thinking about Zoolander but I decided against it because Zoolander already had Ben Stiller as its representative but Owen Wilson is hilarious in both.

The fat kid in Superbad was hilarious.

Also, Artie Langs character in Beer League.

I would change Owen Wilson’s best role to Hansel in Zoolander.
Oh! Mclovin’ too!
